The Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery recently added Movable as a special project affiliated with the Center.
Established in 2018, the Center of Excellence for Recovery strives to increase well-being and recovery among West Virginians. The Center sponsors and collaborates on events including trainings, fundraisers, and presentations focused on recovery. Currently, the Center is working with the WV Office of Drug Control Policy on virtual town meetings to take place in December.
In addition to Movable, other special projects associated with the Center include:
-
Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM), a framework for
facilitating an effective and integrated approach to addressing the needs of children and families. - The Marshall Collegiate Recovery Community, community of like-minded individuals whose goal is to improve themselves and their lives through positive change and holistic well-being
- The West Virginia Collegiate Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success, an initiative that seeks to enhance prevention infrastructure and build capacity among higher education institutions in Southern West Virginia to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of alcohol, tobacco and vaping, marijuana, and prescription drug misuse and its related problems among higher education students (ages 18 and older).
Movable is excited to be part of this group working to promote recovery in our area.
